UE5 vr mode problem

hi, i have problem with UE5 vr mode, i starting GAMES>Virtual Reality (starter content on) sample,
i have oculus s, when starting (VR PREVIEW ) and putting oculus s on head, i can’t see, then i in STEAM VR going to desktop mode, i see UE5 program runing and see screen same what i see without OCULUS S on, same view as on monitor,
can’t see view in VR mode then i putted OCULUS S, if i go to EU4 i have this problem its all ok,
i pressing VR PREVIEW putting OCULUS S and im in game mode, i can move take items and so on…

and i just instaleed UE5 don’t do any changes… have problems

The UE5 preview still has the native SteamVR and Oculus plugins, although Epic doesn’t seem to be interested in maintaining them anymore. They still come enabled by default.

The Oculus OpenXR plugin is just the Oculus specific extensions for the regular OpenXR plugin, it’s not an alternative for it.

You should double check which runtime actually gets selected. Calling the ActiveHMD function in the VRPawn blueprint should print it to console.

Same problem here. I know tha UE5 only implements OpenXR, and it’s a good choiche. But the fragmentation is still there, between the OenXR plugin, the OculusOpenXR plugin which should be the only one activated but does not work and so on. The best practices recommended, aren’t clear at all sadly. I would also like to know if the Oculus Rift, fully functional on ue4, will be supported like the Rift S and the Quest 2.

only have the “SteamVR” plugin turned on in the vr category seems to make it work for me… any other combination seems to disable the controllers
