Hello, I’m new to UE5 and I’m learning it to use it for architectural visualization. I’ve just started some lessons and I only did extremely basic things: Created a new project using blank template, added some objects and started editing materials. Everything was working fine for the last 2 days, except for a message about exhausted video memory.
While I was using it today, just moving things around, suddenly, my whole screen turned white and I couldn’t do anything, not even open task manager or something like that. I mean, it wasn’t a software crash, it seems to be a video problem that crashed my whole PC. Forced restart and tried again, the crash happened again and again by only opening the project or starting a new one (it varies the color, lol, screen turned green and also black sometimes). There’s no error message, there’s no clue of what’s going on.
I’m using a GTX 1050TI, which I know isn’t the best, but I thought it would be enough to use UE, at least, even with a poor performance. The driver was recently updated and there’s no new updates available.
Any ideia why this is happening and what’s the solution? Or should I just accept that my GPU isn’t enough anymore?
