I’ve got to voice my frustration here as a UE5 developer, especially with how far behind the engine is on AI programming integration in 2025.
AI dev tools have been iterating weekly for two full years now, and AI-assisted development is table stakes for most of us at this point. But UE5’s lack of basic quality-of-life features for this is mind-boggling. Just earlier, I copied a super simple Blueprint—only a dozen nodes—and pasted it into an AI assistant, and it spammed out nearly 50,000 characters. Within a couple of back-and-forths, the AI’s context was completely broken, making the whole process useless.
How is it possible that there’s still no official bridging tool to convert Blueprint nodes into a clean, concise, AI-friendly format? This isn’t a niche request—it’s a core workflow for tons of developers now, and the neglect here is really disappointing.
I’m hoping the Unreal team can provide a direct, official response on this: are there any plans to optimize Blueprint copy/paste for AI tools, and if so, what’s the timeline? This is a major efficiency roadblock, and it’s frustrating to see such a critical gap in an otherwise incredible engine.
