Ue5 Ocean Plugin & Navmesh AI move to not working

So i put the ocean on my landscape , put the navmesh in built paths and then i created a character AI with the intention of it being a boat and moving across the water randomly but the AI fails the AI move to node. My initial thought was that the navmesh wasnt built correctly but it works on land so now im thinking that it doesnt detect the navmesh because it is above a quite bit. Any work arounds ?
