[UE5] Niagara Liquid Not Working at Small Scales

Hey! I’ve been having some trouble trying to get Niagara to work at smaller scales. I’m trying to use it to fill up a glass with liquid however, the emitter just doesn’t seem to be adding at all to the domain.

All I did to reproduce the problem was use the default hose template and scaled down the World Grid Extents and some other things like the water height, emitter sphere radius and location… and it just doesn’t work as expected at all, some of the water drains out of the domain and it doesn’t seem to add any new particles. Works fine when it’s all bigger though. In the screenshot, I left it running for a few minutes which should have easily filled the container but there are just a few particles at the bottom instead. I also have a few problems with custom meshes not colliding properly though that’s a separate issue.

I am pretty new to Unreal and especially Niagara but I don’t think this should be acting in this way. Hope I’ve given enough information and thanks in advance!

Yes such a shame no one replies to these posts. I’m sure many people set up a simple sim for a shot that requires a specific scale and come up against this- then just give up. Just a few pointers would be great about which settings to play with to start to get some decent ballpark results with niagra fluids when you need them to work at a specific scale. Having very similar issues myself…
