but it is all black, im running UE5.0.3 on imac os Monterey, what is wrong with my UE?

Hey @anonymous_user_864b2640! Welcome to the Forums!

If you open your project and go to File → New Level, does a new level open?

If not, could you verify your 5.0.3 install and let us know if that fixes the problem?

Any additional information you can provide will be a big help in solving your problem!

Thanks for the reply

when i choose new level it opens a new window with options (there’s no blank open world option), i verified it and it didn’t fix the problem.

another thing is that everytime i create a new project a warning message prompt saying that web browser plug in needs to be enabled, and i did, and the next time when i create a new project it prompts again.

Hey @anonymous_user_864b2640,

I see. If you check your installation options using the same menu, do the options look the same as they do here:

If not, can you make the settings identical and try opening a new project or making a new level?

Hi, nah it’s still the same, ask me to enable web browser plug in and opened a pitch black world… should i just uninstall it and reinstall ue5 again?

Hey @anonymous_user_864b2640,

That is really odd that it is asking you to enable web browser plugin. Before you completely uninstall the engine, you can try verifying the installation to see if that repairs the install.

I hope this helps with your problem.

Hi, ya i verified it yesterday and it didn’t fix it… really confused right now… :smiling_face_with_tear:

Hi, i’ve tried uninstall and reinstalled ue5, set the options identical to what you suggested, and verified the version, and its still the same pitch black when creating new project, and not showing anything when create new level too. is there any other option? should i re install the epic game launcher as well?

just an update: i tried using name “TestingProject” instead of “MyProject1”, and it opens this:

but when i create new level i see the open world map now, however, the web browser plug in is still not enabled by default, i’ll have to enable it everytime i create new project otherwise the Bridge plug in won’t work.

Verifying the installation fixed it for me, on 5.0.3
