UE5 Input Action screen is empty

I just downloaded the newly released UE5.0 and started the “Build a Third Person Character from Scratch” course. I’m on the 4th module, " Setting Up Inputs And Building Control Systems", and he said to make a new Input Action and open it to change something. When I open my Input action there is nothing there.

Here are some pics.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a plugin I need to enable or something?

Yep! The “Enhanced Input” plugin is required for those input actions to work.

I checked, and the Enhanced Input plugin is already on. I tried turning it off, restarting, and turning it back on [and restarting again]. Still nothing is shown in my Input Action, or any of the three asset types in the Input submenu.

Sorry, not sure if this will solve the issue, but it’s still required for Enhanced input:

If you go to Project Settings → Engine → Input, are your default classes set up like this?

Yes, my default input classes are already set to enhanced input.

Also, I tried making a new project and I have the same problem, so it’s not a fluke with my original project.

Ah, I see. Have you tried opening the “Details” window from the toolbar?

Geeze, I feel like an idiot. That was the problem. Thank you!

Sometimes it’s the simplest things you overlook; we’ve all been there.

Not OP, but this part should be mentioned in “Build a Third Person Character from Scratch” course, heck, the whole thing with installing and setting up plugin should be.

You are a life saver. Can’t believe they leave this critical piece out of official tutorials, thought I was going crazy missing the Input submenu from Content Browser. Thanks!
