UE5 creating a collider for an imported datasmith file

Hi guys, I imported a datasmith from Rhino, now I’m trying to give the entire thing a mesh so a 3rd person can walk in it, how do I do this?


Different solution depending what you want to do:

  1. you can add some cubes with collision where you want collision with floor and walls and then visually hide those cubes at runtime
  2. if you mesh is splitted in different and simple shaped parts, you can go and generate simple collision on each floor wall mesh
  3. if it is a single mesh or you really need a precise collision then you go into your collision settings of your mesh and pick “Use complex as simple”
