Why is UE5 crashing every time I want to import a texture into the displacement map specifically on a Rhino imported model?
(Displacement map texture works well on built-in surfaces of UE5).
No, I am not using Luoshuang’s GPULightmass.
Please also note that I am using DirectX11, but I have my Ray Tracing and Lumen options on.
I am using DirectX11 because when I use DX12 UE5 keeps on glitching.
I think the problem is that I am using displacement maps with Nurbs surfaces. I have tried to import another Rhino model into my file as meshes and it worked with displacement maps. The problem now is that the materials are behaving weirdly. Every time I drop a material into the mesh surface, the material flips and breaks in the pattern on the surface.
UE5 is still crashing when I use displacement maps on mesh surfaces after that.
I have the same issue. First, UE crashed because of a Virtual Texture parameter (I got a red message on screen before the crash). Then I unchecken VT, no warning anymore, still crashing.
