Hi DeeryD !
Can you give us a bit more context on your datasmith scene ?
What DCC is it coming from ? What version of the Datasmith plugin have you used in that DCC ?
What kind of crash (a log would be good) do you get when importing the file ?
Cheers,
Antoine
Hi Antonie
Thank you for your response. I’m exporting from Revit 2022. I am using the sample Revit model Simple Architectural Project. Version of Datasmith 5.0.1.0
Hi, any solution with this? i have the same issue
No. I didn’t get a solution. I still can’t bring a Revit model into 5.0
I was regularly importing Revit models via Datasmith but since upgrading to UE5.1 they will not import. Actually, one of the models has loaded, the other 3 will not.
Make sure that if you need to convert the revit file, that you save the upgraded file BEFORE exporting through the Datasmith export function. It makes a difference.
Can you share with us the models that are failing to import? Do you get any errors in the console window?
Hi, I use Unreal Engine 5.44, and I do have the latest Cinema 4D 2025 with the latest plugin. However, the app keeps crashing when I import the After Effects 3D tracking data (exported as a C4D file). I managed to make it work before a few times, but it mostly crashes. The direct link seems to work fine from C4D to UE. Do you have any tips?
