Hey guys, I’m sure it’s been asked before but I can’t seem to find an answer yet. Has anyone managed to find a way to use height maps in UE5 or import the final asset from another source? I even tried using blender and substance to render it all, but it always ends up flat in the engine.

Tessellation has been removed from the engine because it doesn’t work with Nanite.
For the moment, if you need displacement, you have to actually make the mesh the right shape.

Thanks for the link! My issue is due to having purchased a lot of assets in texture map format that I now can’t turn in to assets for UE5.
