Ue5.7 keeps failing to install

Hello, I am trying to install Ue5.7.0 and it refuses to download, it says it is Initializing for about 2 min then the download will fail and it will say…

Install Failed
Could not download installation information. Please try again later.
Error Code: MD-DL-0

I have tried deleting my cache, signing out and signing back in, doing a safe boot, Temporarily uninstalling Epic online services, running the launcher as administrator, and reinstalling the launcher(and now my previous downloads of Ue5.5 and Ue5.6 are no longer installed and no they will also not initialize).

The only thing that I have got to work is I downloaded a few things from my fab library onto one of my projects and they downloaded just fine so the launcher can download stuff it just will not download engines. Please help.

This sounds a lot like an issue on Epic’s end. Did you try again after a few hours? I was able to download it just now!

I have been trying to get this to download since friday and nothing seems to work. I just tried again now and no change, same error.

I see that you’ve tried running as administrator and deleting the cache. Have you tried disabling your antivirus to see if that’s blocking it?

Ya, I have turned off my firewall and antivirus and there was no change unfortunately.

I’m also encountering failed downloads for plugins after the last launcher update:
The first one usually is successful, the second and later ones are not:

this also happened for UE5.7 but restarting the launcher was enough to fix it (but I had to re-download it)

Okay, so I am still having this issue. I tried redoing some things like redownloading and reinstalling the launcher, turning off firewall and antivirus and running in admin mode ect, but nothing has worked. But while I was trying random stuff I discovered that it is not specific to game engines as there are some that work. Specifically Ue4.0.2, Ue4.1.2 and Ue4.2.1.

When I randomly tried to download one of these and saw that it worked I tried all of the others and ya, just these three will clear the initialization process and begin downloading. I have tried and retried multiple times to make sure it is consistent and it is. These three engines will always download and no other engine will.

I have no idea what to make of this information. The best that I can think of is that they are probably the smallest download size so maybe it is related to slow internet? Though I do not know that for sure since it only says the size once it starts downloading. I mean i do not have the greatest internet speed but what I have is the best I can get in my area and I have no alternatives.

This feels very frustrating because this is not the first engine that I have downloaded and used on this computer with my slow internet. I have had Ue5.4, Ue5.5 and Ue5.6 and they all downloaded fine and worked great but I can’t even use them now until this is fixed because I have reinstalled the launcher and they do not work and will not initialize to be downloaded anymore for some reason. So I am stuck being unable to work and I don’t even know for sure what the problem is. Anyway I would appreciate some more help if someone is willing to look into this more, I am not sure what to do.
