@Epic I am curious as to what is considered normal frame costs for features in Unreal 5 versions?
If 120 fps is baseline. Using Ue5.7.
No actors in the level. I lose 20fps just for having new features like Lumen and VSM enabled.
Then I add the actors that make up my game world. Landscape, Sky, Ocean. Then I unload all landscape proxies and hide my ocean and sky. I still lose an additional 19 fps.
Where is all the overhead and cost coming from?
It doesn’t make sense that actors not in use or not being rendered are costing soo many frames. It also doesn’t make sense it would cost a total of 39 fps to render an empty black void.
What am I missing?
