Hi,
I’ve just installed UE5.6 fresh and like to create a MetaHuman with the build in Creator Plugin, but there are no Human presets available. There should be some MetaHuman presets to choose from or blend from 3 presets to a new one.
And if I like to edit Materials from the MetaHuman I get a Warning “Skin editing is disabled. Enable the MetaHuman Content option in the UE installer tp enable skin editing.” but what dose this mean “…from the UE installer…”? I installed UE5.6 vie Epic Games Luncher and enabled all MetaHuman Plugins in the project settings.
I have no idea what to do to fix it, please let me know.
Checking across the community, there are multiple reports of issues with the MetaHuman presets in 5.6. Since this version of the engine has just released, it is still prone to unexpected behaviours, specially with plugins.
While we wait for a hotfix, I would suggest to test removing and re-adding the plugin, following the steps below:
If the issue persists, the best course of action would be to roll back to 5.5, until the plugin issue is resolved.
Hi, I had the same issue. To fix it, you need to check the box for Metahuman Creator Core Data during the installation of Unreal Engine 5.6.
If you’ve already installed it, go to the settings and enable that checkbox there.
Getting the same issue especially once clothing is applied. Hopefully it gets patched soon, I either crash or it strips my materials and gives me this issue so I can’t assemble. I’ve cleared caches, reinstalled the plugin and engine. Might just have to wait unfortunately or go back to 5.5 in meantime
