I’ve been trying to use the new metahuman characters creator built in the engine after the release of UE5.6. Everything went alright until it was to create the full body rig. When clicked it gives an error as the following "LogMetaHumanCharacterEditor: Error: Auto-Rigging of Face failed with code 'Eula Not Accepted". Altough I’ve accepted all the policies and eula it still gives me that error leading to halt in the rigging and export process of my metahuman. Any help would be greatful!
TLDR: Gives an error LogMetaHumanCharacterEditor: Error: Auto-Rigging of Face failed with code 'Eula Not Accepted' which does not create a body rig
Hi, that’s really unfortunate, so let’s see if we can diagnose!
Firstly, do you have any more log output from the console you can share? Anything with LogEOS in it could be helpful.
And also; were you presented with a log-in window when you first tried to autorig? And did it also present you with a “consent form” to accept?
LogEOSSDK: Warning: LogEOS: Error response received from backend. ServiceName=[Friend], OperationName=[GetBlockList], Url=[<Redacted>], HttpStatus=[403], ErrorCode=[errors.com.epicgames.common.insufficient_scopes], NumericErrorCode=[1056], ErrorMessage=[Insufficient access scopes. LogMetaHumanCharacterEditor: Error: Auto-Rigging of Face failed with code 'Eula Not Accepted'
Thanks for the fast response, yes there’s an EOS error line and yes there was a log-in pop up and I did accept every terms & conditions and then continued.
Great, thanks for this info. That error is not the one unfortunately, it should really be a warning tbh. Ok, let us dig into things a bit and see if we can spot something on our backend.
I’m getting the same issue, was a solution ever found. I even tried making a new account and I’m sure I signed the EULA, I can’t rig any metahumans. Thank You
I am facing the same error I do not have shown a popup to accept EULA ever(Nor when clicked generate full rig first time Neither when downloaded metahuman creator first time and not when downloaded ue5.6)is there a way to re-prompt the option to accept EULA again
I do not have much to suggest, but here is a way that should really work if you had never downloaded a metahuman though Quixel bridge in any unreal versions :~
Install UE 5.3 or 5.4 (both versions had the EULA prompt working normally).
Open Quixel Bridge (stand-alone or in-engine), download your MetaHuman, and start rigging there.
Once the EULA is accepted, that acceptance is stored on your Epic account — so when you return to UE 5.6, the rigging should work immediately.
Why this works:
EULA acceptance is tied to your Epic account, not the specific project or UE version.
