UE5.6 Auto landscape material bug

In UE5.6, creating an auto material and adding it to a landscape, then painting another layer over the auto material causes the compoment next to it to have black spots painted on it.

I tested in a blank project and it does the same, but I upgraded from 5.1, to 5.6.

Does anyone know if there is something i am missing in the new version, or is this just a bug?

I am also having an issue with autmaterial and landscape in 5.6 in a new project after many attempts to start fresh. Both automaterials I use don’t work, Brushify and a Conifer Forest - my Brushify automaterial fills the world with 75% mixed layers (i see mud on top of the grass) and my Conifer material has a dark shadow seam, appears to possibly be the landscape seams. Both work in 5.5.4 with no issue

Others have been having the same issue, and have reported it as a bug. Hopefully it will be fixed next update.
