Hello, currently when trying to scale my grid to a single unit it disappears… The lowest I can set my grid to is 5 and have it still show ups. Any suggestions on how to get my grid back when selecting a single grid unit?
Thanks in advance.

Hi SnilloC,
I see what you’re asking, and I’m not aware of any setting that would change this.
I’d be curious to know what you are doing that involves a 1cm grid…
One thing that might help: you can press CTRL + END and your selected object will snap to the nearest ‘Grid Snap Value’
Welcome to the forums!
Hey Astrotronic, I don’t think it’s a settings thing as it worked fine in UE4. Just when I updated to UE5 I notices that the grid was no longer visible when selecting a single grid unit layout. As for why… It’s just something I have always done and I’ve been in unreal since 2005. My levels are to scale and I get a bit OCD when building them. My house for example is exact measurements down to 1 unreal unit.
Thanks for the reply,
Snill
I loaded up 4.27.2 to make sure that I’m able to view the grid when I set the scale to 1 and all is good in the older version. Hopefully, there will be an update for UE5.
Out of curiosity, is anyone else experiencing this when you select a single grid unit?
You’re welcome,
I should have checked this in UE4 previously! Since the 1cm grid did show in UE4 and now do not in UE5 this might be considered a regression. (Either that or the decision to remove the 1cm grid was intentional, but I cannot be sure which is the case)
I think submitting a bug report for this would be a good step forward.
I’ll go ahead and submit the bug report.
So I finally submitted a ticket and I’ll update as soon as I hear back from UE. Hopefully it’s not too long.
