UE5.1 grass node: grass spawning in water

Hey folks, hopefully this is a quick fix thing and I’m just missing it.

I’m playing around with the grass node in my landscape material, and I can’t figure out how to stop the grass from spawning in water. I also can’t figure out how to manually paint out the grass like you normally would with foliage. Either works for me. Generally for procedural foliage I’d ensure the grass only spawns on certain landscape layers, but I can’t find an option or method for that for the grass node version.

Hi! With a “landscape layer sample” node. Under parameter name you add in the name of the layer you want the grass to appear on. Slot that sample node into the grass output node. :slight_smile:
