UE4editor keeps running in processes after it is closed; cannot kill process

Hi

so my UE4 editor got hung up opening a project… it was not a large project…only about 1.2 g. After about 45 min, realized that it was not responding and just hung up. I was able to kill it in Task Manager. However, UE4editor was still running in processes.

No matter what i do, i cannot kill it. i have tried using powershell, command prompts etc … i get the same message: i used process explorer as well… error terminating process - access is denied.

I find this happens with UE4editor from time to time though this is the first time I have having as much problem killing it…

how can i kill the process and also how can i prevent this from happening?

I use Windows 10, graphics card is 2070
