UE4 Velocity and Units

Hello everyone, I am trying to figure something out, but am at a crossroads. If my character’s walk/run speed averages to 600 units, how long would my world have to be for the character to walk for 1 hour to get from 1 side to the other?
Some simple math reveals that it would need to be 2160000 units wide or long. My assumption was that each unit is 1 CM, but if I convert 2160000 to KM, that is only 2.16 KM, and who only walks 2 KM in an hour? So how would I convert this to CM? I just want to know what dimensions to make a landscape that will take the player 1 hour to cross at a rate of 600 units max walk speed.

You may say that I need to up the walk/run average to around 1400, but now all of the sudden everything has to be thicker and bigger so that the player doesn’t walk past a tree in .1 seconds.

Unreal units are units and sizes of everything are scalable (odcorse going too much below 1 scale might make things act weard), i heard 1UU is based of 1cm

I think your math is just off a bit, 2160000cms = 21.6Km.

Wow… Does the metric system not go by 1000’s? I did 2160000 / 1000 / 1000… Hmmm. I am still lost… I guess now my player runs too fast, 21.6 KM/hr

Yea, 6m/s is pretty fast.

there is only 100CM in 1M so you should have done 2160000 / 100 (to turn CM into M) then / 1000 to get KM.

Oh alright, my bad.
