  • Static (baked) lighting support for HISMCs and foliage (for mobile/mobile VR)
  • Mobile VR friendly LOD transitions for HISMCs and foliage (or ability to disable dithered LOD transition and let it “pop”)

Volumetric lighting they’ll likely have done regardless in the next few months if they want to have it for the Gears of War release.

The fog, if you look in the fog thread mentioned updating the to-do list with a few new things to improve the system overall, they likely want to hold back the feature until everything’s ready.

Meanwhile, this happened as well: Trello

Volumetrics… It is not even funny… Small team in Ninja Theory was able to do it Hellblade Development Diary 19: Atmospheric VFX - YouTube

I went ahead and moved the requests to Trello.

OP updated.

I would like to have an option for locking only the position of the root bone in animations and not position and rotation. Walking animations are a lot easier to create if you let the model move through the scene while animating it and lock the root position later in UE4 without locking rotation of it. Maybe something to choose wich axes you want to lock and if you lock it’s position or rotation or both. This would save a lot time on animating movements.

Trello board not found. Might be set to members only or private or something?

Ouch!
Try again.

Fixed  Much better

No VR list ?!?

Alright Trello updated.

Thanks!

Could you please add the following to VR list ?

  • Baked lighting support for HISMCs and foliage
  • Vulkan API
  • Multiview rendering
  • Oculus Platform SDK

Thanks

Your will is done!

I would like to see support for 3Dconnexion (3D Space Mouse & Navigator), these devices are way more efficient navigating 3D space and I think could also be useful for VR and gameplay too. It looks like there’s also already a thread with some hacks/plugins but I would like to see something built in as standard. All other 3D programs (even Cryengine) already support this device so I was disappointed finding out I can’t use it for my level creation in UE4.

Can you add some form of scripting language like other engines have?
For those who don’t want to compile C++.

Thanks

O_o i think Jan Kaluza uses it.
Ill forward url.

Uservoice for Unreal Engine is needed. Not this Trello thing. Or something close to what they already have for the Issues Tracker. But it needs community input and voting. Voting is the obvious choice so gets a real feel of what the priorities should be. But community input is important due to feature requests that may pop up and we do not want to have it “censored”

I understand Trello has votes, but it’s just not that good for this sort of thing. Uservoice all the way!

Gear of War and Epic Games are not related since years…

Lionhead wasn’t exactly related to Epic either, but LPVs still made it in. Don’t sell it short. If someone’s going to do the work for Epic, it may be cheaper to either buy the rights to the feature than have the staff do it in-house, or they may be able to leverage a deal like they had with Lionhead.

I have a good one. How many times have you searched for an unreal function or class in Google, looking for the C++ documentation but wound up at the blueprint documentation?

It would be sweet if there were a C++/Blueprint toggle on the documentation page, à la Unity’s documentation pages. Here’s an example: Unity - Scripting API: Bounds.Bounds

I don’t see any longer comments here, hope that this threat is not dead :D.

Here comes my easy one. I do lot of arquitectural projects with texts on walls and so on. I don’t understand why not there is “FULL ALIGMENT TEXT” just like RIGHT, CENTER and LEFT. In order to do that I have to introduce manually gap space between words and that’s a pain in the ***.
