How do I go about using things I purchase from the marketplace in my source version of the editor? I have both assets and plugins I want to use.
I figured it out, you have to make a project in source, then use the launcher, queue up the asset, when it asks what project you want to add it to, you have to check the box to show all projects, select the soruce project and import it, for plugins you have to have a launcher version of the editor installed, download the plugin though the launcher, then navigate to the directory and copy / paste the plugin from the launcher version to the source version. Hopefully this helps others.
This is correct. You can also just copy-paste the plugins to your individual project folder if that is what you prefer.
Actually, that’s the only way it works for me, if I copy the plugin from the launcher version to Engine/Plugins of my source UE4, visual studio craps out - should I be copying these plugins somewhere else? Copying it to each project individually can get tiresome.
Are you copying it to the source engine itself or the individual project? If it’s the engine I’m interested to know where you copied it to get it to work!
