UE4 saving jpg files with alpha channels

My old files are fine, but lately when I import JPG files into UE4, it seems to save the uasset with the setting: Has Alpha Channel, as true. The file size also reflects this, which is my worry. It’s turning a 132kb file into a 6780kb file.

Is there a way to change this setting to false? I don’t see it anywhere.

It’s not just JPG either. I exported the same files as PNG with no alpha, and it did the same thing. But JPG is best for illustration because by definition it doesn’t have alpha (unless something has changed in the industry without my knowledge).

Hi! Has Alpha Channel check box is connected only with asset and asset pixel format and nothing more, so it wouldnt change if you check Compress without Alpha checkbox. I think that the same goes with Resource size
