UE4 Rube Goldberg Machine

A Rube Goldeberg Machine (Rube Goldberg machine - Wikipedia) made entirely using UE4’s Physics capabilities. Only the pulley is partially physics driven and partially a cinematic simulation.

All meshes/materials still need to be polished for the final version.

Thank you @franktech ! It’s a hobby project, still working on how to make a believable rope for the pulley (simple cylinder deformation or morph targets).

The UV texture on the pulley is intended to show it rotate, in hindsight not the best idea as it seems unfinished. Thanks for the critique!

So I actually have to do this for a class. Quick question, the moving arms, the seesaw mechanics, how did you do those exactly, is it just partnered to the fulcrum?

Correct. The flat piece is parented to the fulcrum using a physics constraint which can only rotate around that axis.

I like it! This was quite fun to watch.

Thanks!

Haha…love the end!
