Can you guys please add “fighting game template” on the roadmap ? Thank you.
Done! Don’t know when we will get to it, but it’s an interesting idea.

Thank you very much. Looking forward when it shows up on the roadmap
Hello there,
@Epic, could you please update the roadmap and remove (if neccessary) the older labels June and July? Or are those still important? Or update at least. Would be good to know what’s actually up-to-date, and what not.
But again, the UE4 roadmap is simply amazing, and showing so much transparency to us, the community, is wonderful! Thank you for that, and keep it going. I hope those votes count and are valueable infos to you. Keep it going!
EDIT: Cannot wait until Autolight map workflow is implemented, because doing lightmaps is a pain, as uving is generally very stressful and boring, and doing it twice adds up xD
Just for visibility, we tend to update the roadmap about every month or so, and are targeting to get everything up to date sometime next week. So stay tuned; it’ll be updated soon!

Ahhh, I understand, that’s ! Thanks for the quick answer.
I just discovered and heard about Light Propagation Volumes for UnrealEngine4. That would be amaaaaaazing. And would be highly appreciated, would help us with the development so much. I cannot wait to hear more news about it.
Edit: I hope votes for it on their trello page. It’s at the bottom under “Rendering” list
Hey Unreal Devs,
I’m loving the engine and enjoy using it everyday. I’d like to ask for an easy and efficient skybox tool. I’ve been looking through some of the great examples which have a ton of work on them It would be nice to have a way to make custom skyboxes quickly. For example for space scenes? is really a wishlist, but it doesn’t hurt to ask. =)
Thanks and Keep up the work, each engine update is like Christmas.

We like to keep one past month active as we update for those tasks that span multiple months. The idea is to cycle the labels so next week when we update for August planning we’ll recycle the June label to November and so on. It would be nice if Trello had a couple more options when it came to labels to make process a little more seamless.
In relation to the discussion in thread, here are a couple of item I’d like to be added to the wishlist:
As discussed in the referenced thread, I know these are currently available only in Shader Model 5 which is not supported on OSX due to the limitations of OpenGL4.1, but since it is not likely OSX is stepping up to OpenGL4.3 anytime soon (at list, probably not in the next year) it would be great to have some kind of fallback in Shader Model 4.
Thanks!!!
I see that all items on the VR Roadmap are now complete. Is because all major VR work is done? Or just a matter of things needing to be inventoried and entered?
Thanks for updating the roadmap. I am a bit sad that the RTS template got pushed back, but I’ll wait patiently, no point in rushing something at the expense of quality.
However, there is one probable mistake, the GameInstance is still tagged for July (it’s the only one with only a tag for July)
One more thing I’d like to be added to the roadmap if possible:
Ah, good eye! You are correct, and I’ve now updated card.

It’s finally finished? Sweet-sweet!:o

One more thing I’d like to be added to the roadmap if possible:
HiDPI rendering mode is on the to-do list, though it will be after 4.5 but we aren’t sure quite when. It will likely apply only to the Slate UI of the editor on displays rather than the games themselves for performance reasons. Running a UE4 game at resolutions will be far too much for the Nvidia 650M/750M or Intel GPUs used in MacBook Pros and even the 2013 and BTO 27" iMac might struggle.
Thank you, I hadn’t found the relative card in the roadmap and was wondering when was scheduled. Maybe it would be useful to put in the wishlist, anyway. I see your point about games not using resolution, probably would be a good idea to expose a setting to enable/disable . Really looking forward for the Slate UI support, though
Is it possible to give us a BP only version of the Strategy Game example? I’d like to be able to recreate the camera and minimap using BP only but all the functionality seems to be in C++ functions.
Hi, any feedback about the three items proposed for the todo/wishlist?
Marksatt-pitbull commented on the last one but as far as I have seen none of the three are in the trello roadmap currently. Would it be possible to add them to keep track?
I suppose “Area shadows for dynamic skinned characters” is that neat analytic shape ambient occlusion hack that things like The Order: 1886 are doing yah?
Could “Virtualized textures” be added to the roadmap? That would be a huge timesaver, even above and over anything else on (for artists) on the roadmap. I know Carmack’s version was a huge unique texture lookup, but just go with RedLynx’s solution of having the virtualized tiles be read from instanced texture atlases just like everything else is. There’s no requirement for VT to be entirely unique, and not worrying about texture size or variety would be a fantastic help, I know was already interested in some virtualized solution.
could also simplify support for P-Tex, no need for any UV mapping at all would be another huge timesaver.
What about vehicles features and tweaking?
Thanks.

Thanks.
We have some discussions around advanced vehicle work for 4.5 but nothing fully confirmed yet. Will update once we lock down if will make it in time for the next branch day, or if it’s something for the release after. For clarity can you share some of the specifics you’re wanting?
