UE4 Package build resolution quality different to in game editor

Hi,

I’m having trouble with my package builds for my project, it’s set up for vive. When I play in editor the visuals are clean and good but when I package it the quality drops drastically and becomes really aliased, is there a setting overriding my my builds that I’m missing?

Bump! I am really interested in the answer on this question, as I also experience a difference in quality when playtesting the game in the editor vs ingame (after packaging).

In terms of seeing how accurate your content looks like ingame. It really sucks that the content in the editor doesn’t reflect how it will look in the game. Textures are missing while they weren’t missing in the editor. Lighting suddenly got a lot darker, compared to the lighting in the editor. And white colored artifacts appear on the screen in the form of lines, which I also don’t see while playtesting in the editor. Kind of strange…

TL;DR: bumping the thread in order to unravel this mystery. I couldn’t find any answers on other threads.

Have you (either of you) looked at the texture compression and packing options?
