ue4 occupying 76.4gb of space

in this, the total space occupied by the binaries folder is 28.9gb,
program files>>epic games>>ue_4.27>>engine>>binaries and the plugins folder
program files>>epic games>>ue_4.27>>engine>>plugins occupied 33.5gb
program files>>epic games>>ue_4.27>>engine>>source occupied 8.31gb

It is a big engine - at the very least you’ll need about 40gb.

You can set some options if you’d like to save some space.

If you’re getting your build from the launcher, Click the button under the engine number in your Library sitting beside “Launch” or “Update” (if you need to update to the latest). Choose “Options” from this combobox.

Here you can turn off any components you don’t need, like “Editor Symbols For Debugging” if you don’t use C++ at all. Remove any platforms you’re not building for right now and only add them when you’re ready to deploy and test on those platforms. Starter Content and Template content may be jettisoned as well if you’re happy with your current project and don’t need to create new ones from a template. Just make a copy of any specific Starter Content you may be using.

Finally, if you know what you’re doing, you can remove anything from Plugins that you don’t need like, for example, Virtual Production if you’re a game developer but I would not recommend removing any plugins you’re unsure of.

after just moving the virtual production folder to D:, the ue4 is not opening

Got some more information than that?

Try removing Android / Linux / MacOS dependencies from your engine:

This will probably save you some space.

I don’t have them installed in my pc!

Well, apparently your installed plugins occupy a lot of space. Maybe try uninstalling unnecessary plugins to save some space.
