Hi,
How would default UE4 mouse input sensitivity compare to any popular game like Fortnite or CS?
I’d like to set it up to match something people are familiar with but I can’t find how to convert between them.
Can you elaborate a bit on what it is you’re trying to do?
My understanding is that you want to “clone” sens for familiarity sake, from currently popular games.
The thing about mouse sens though, is it’s a very individual based thing. Some player’s mice have built in sens settings, or players have default OS settings in place, or they’re using in-game sens settings, or a combination of all of the above, and more.
What it -sounds- like you’re possibly wanting is to create a player adjustable sens setting widget. If that’s the case… There’s a wonderful, albeit undiscovered youtube tutorial for exactly this: Unreal Engine 4 Tutorial - Changing Mouse Sensitivity using a Slider Widget - YouTube
Well, Fortnite is made in UE4 so your mouse should feel about the same as in there. Furthermore, you can also call the Set Input Yaw/Pitch Scale nodes to further customize your input sensitivity.
