UE4 keeps crashing when opening menus (e.g. File or Blueprint event graph search)

I’ve heard you need to update graphics card drivers: Crashes when menus are opened - Mobile - Unreal Engine Forums

But when I tried to do that, the system seemed to get stuck in driver update search. I must say that my laptop has a pretty crap graphics card (NVIDIA GTX 960M), however CPU is Intel i7 and has 16GB ram to use with 4 cores. Is my graphics card simply too bad to run UE4 without these crashes or is there some other solution to this?

Hello? Anyone? There are other people that I know and pretty sure other people out there that have this issue, I need this fixed, because this is severely stifling my work.

Go into the Nvidia Control Panel and under the 3D settings set it to use the Nvidia GPU for everything, by default it will try to figure out if something can use just the Intel GPU or the Nvidia GPU and it does a bad job so ultimately it’s best to just force the computer to use the Nvidia GPU. It’ll result in lower battery life but it is worth it.

Nope, Nvidia GPU is running, has been from the beginning, at least from my understanding.

I reinstalled UE4 and it stopped freezing and crashing. Then it started again. Then I reinstalled again, then it has now started again. Getting annoying at this point. It seems like the longer I leave UE4 on idling, this starts happening, and doesn’t stop happening even when I close it down and open it up again, so I have to be careful with what I hover over in menus. So far it seems like it’s only happening on my laptop for some reason, even though my computer isn’t overheating when trying to process UE4.
