Hi, Epic. Is there anywhere I can get a short video that shows the UE4 logo when you start the game as according to the EULA you need to show credits some way or another. I’d also like some help on how to set this up, if possible.
Currently I’m showing “Powered By Unreal Engine” but I feel that its not enough. Thank you!
hey man this might be a good guide for U
Thank you so much. That’s what I was looking for
I’m not sure why the UE4 animated logo is in .mov format though when in the Movies section in the Project Settings only take .mp4
I did this with the VLC Media Player and made a Movies folder in Unreal for the UE4Logo and then packaged the game, when I started it the game window just went black forever without starting the video.
This is certainly weird. It seems other people have had this issue lately but I’ve yet to find any solution to this problem.
Cant be too sure if the error caused is due to a file format change or any graphics driver issue…
Well have a look at this doc
You said that you are getting a black screen. I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.
- Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
- If so, could you provide a detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
- Could you provide screen shots of any blueprints/settings that may be involved with this issue?
after conversion did U test it outside UE4 ?
I made a quick video on how I did it. I didn’t use any blueprints or anything, just the VLC converter and the “Startup Movies” in Project Settings.
Why isn’t the animated logo provided with an .mp4 if Unreal doesn’t support .mov in Startup movies?
Yeah, I can watch it fine outside UE4 without getting blackscreen
Yes I too am getting the same issue as not ready
I have provided a video below that I would like for you to test. Could you try using the provided video and let me know what results you have?
Yes sir now it is working just fine. I just now checked it
engine version 4.12
Hi! It worked perfectly.
Is there by any chance you could make the original animated logo into a .mp4?
Some good video conversion tool maybe?
The issue that you are having appears to be an issue with the converter of the video. After doing some digging, it appears that we do not have an officially supported video converter. However, you find one that works for you it would be great if you posted the result here in a reply for future users.
Make it a great day
Thank you. Could any of you guys make a .mp4 of the animated logo? It would be super helpful.
After running a few tests converting the video, I had success with setting the screen size for the video to 1280 by 720 during the conversion process (clarification: I found a converter that also converts the resolution for the video). Give that a try and let me know if that works for you.
