I hope someone from team will be able spent some time to answer few questions.
What’s going on with High-end mobile rendering on UE4?
Almost all mobiles with GLES 3.1+ support alot of features from SM5, but… For some reason we are extremely limited on those platforms using Unreal. We don’t have shadows from movable point lights, spot light. Why? If Epic trying to protect us from shooting our own leg - please don’t I know how to optimize things.
So, my main questions are:
- Why Unreal is restrictive on High-end mobiles like hell?
- Do we have any chances for this situation to be changed in near feature?
- Maybe you have some info how to unlock full potential of Unreal on High-end mobiles?
