Hi all,
I am attempting to create a simple day night cycle in UE4. However, no matter which tutorial I follow or what engine version (4.2.0, 4.3.1, 4.4.3 and 4.5.0) I get the following error from an element in the default sky dome blue print.
Accessed None ‘Directional light actor’ from node Set Vector Parameter Value in blueprint BP_Sky_Sphere
Dose anyone have any idea as to how I can resolve this?
Hey -
To determine the exact extent of the problem I’d like you to delete the node that is giving you the Access None error ( Set Vector Parameter Value) and then recompile the blueprint. Let me know if the error reappears referencing a different node. If that is not the case, recreate and reconnect the deleted node and compile again and let me know what happens.
Cheers
Hi, I figured out the problem. For some reason, the sky box stopped referencing the directional light in the map. Just re-added this in the name box and all is well. Simple mistake on my part, sorry for the bother.
Problem Solved. The sky dome stopped referencing the Directional Light. Just added it back into the Details panel and all is well again.
, I have the same problem but your resolution not work in my case. The error is:
Error Accessed None ‘Directional light actor’ from node Set Vector Parameter Value in blueprint BP_Sky_Sphere
Error Accessed None from node Set Vector Parameter Value in blueprint BP_Sky_Sphere.
I repeat step-by-step this tutorial A new, community-hosted Unreal Engine Wiki - Announcements - Epic Developer Community Forums
and this one Unreal Engine 4 Tutorial: Day & Night Cycle (english) - YouTube
but not work
Hey Angelz-
I worked through the tutorial you linked to and did not receive any “Accessed None” errors. Could you post a screenshot of your level blueprint to see how you set up the day/night cycle controls?
Cheers
