UE4 Crashing on Startup with Oculus Rift DK2

Hi there. Running Windows 8.1

Cannot start Ue4 with Rift in direct mode. Reinstalled UE4, Oculus Runtime to no avail. Getting slightly different bug reports each time.

I opened a ticket for this previously, here are the answers to the questions my contact asked me:

What version of the engine are you using?
4.7.5

Does this happen for all projects?
Yes

Are you running the engine on a laptop?
No

Are you receiving any errors (other than the crash report)?
No, just it fails to load up.

If so, could you provide them?

After running a few tests I was unable to reproduce this issue on our end. I have a few questions that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. What version of the oculus runtime are you using currently?
  2. Could you make sure that your drivers for your graphics card are up to date?
  3. If you set up unreal to only run on your Nvidia Card via the Nvidia Control panel, does this alleviate the crash?
