UE4 Cascade particle fire plays fine but freezes 1/2 way into rendering

Any idea why particles simply freeze up 1/2 way into the render frames?
Movie Render Queue. Plays fine in the viewer. Plays fine in render until close to the middle and simply freezes (just the fire, the rest of the action is fine)
I did a render with a different start frame and it stops in the same area —no keyframes or triggers in the fire track.

I was lucky to find some fire done in Niagara that worked and didn’t stop

is this particle added to a sequencer? Maybe the lifetime of such particle is longer than what you have visible in the track

This was M5 VFX Vol 2 fire. Works fine in level and in sequencer. Just froze action 1/2 way through render. I changed the lifespans, etc. but no expert on cascade so used a different package.
