UE4 Always crashes when opening file explorer from the editor

The UE4 editor always crashes when opening the file explorer from the editor, for example when trying to import a heightmap file or trying to migrate assets from one project to another using the migrate functionality. Below is the crash reports for the latest crash when I was trying to migrate assets; it happened when the file explorer which chooses which project to migrate to opened.

This is the file explorer window I’m talking about. I can consistently reproduce the crash 100% of the time by doing any action which involves opening a file explorer window from the Editor. It happens no matter the complexity of the current level nor the complexity of the project or assets within the project.

I am using the Editor from the Unreal Launcher (not GitHub and no source control)

Version: 4.25.1-13594126+++UE4+Release-4.25

I don’t believe my system is the problem as the complexity of the project does not seem to affect the crashing.
System Specs: GTX 1050Ti, 8GB ram, i7-8750H

I am also going through the same Crashes on opening exploring windows.

Having same problem over here. Literally can’t work.

Same here. Same version, same everything (apart from the pc specs)

Remove Antivirus If any
Right Click On Unreal Engine.exe or Unreal Desktop Shortcut
Go to Properties … Advanced … check Run as Administrator
It Worked Fine for me atleast

I have the same problem. It began after Windows update to version 2004

Can I ask, for those of you where its crashing, are you using the Launcher Version or Source Built Version of Unreal. I’m finding every version of UE or project I open from the Launcher crashes about 5 seconds after a windows explorer window opens - select build location, export asset location, doesn’t matter. However the same UE version 4.26.2 I’ve compiled from source does not exhibit this behavior.
