UE4.4 Material Editor Crash with Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V?

Just in case somebody runs into crashes with using Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V (copying nodes / node networks) in the UE4.4 Material Editor:

I have opened a thread at answers.unrealengine.com with a temporary work-around.

The crash does not seem to happen for everybody - YMMV.

I have just had occur twice, and for me is caused by trying to copy and paste a “parameter” node, happened when trying to copy a “ScalarParameter” node & a VectorParameter node (both had been named), and crashed immediately on pressing Ctrl-V.

I am going to copy/paste on to AnswerHub as well. Thanks! :slight_smile:

I wanted to follow up on post to let know that the AnswerHub post was marked for tracking until we can get the Engine QA team to run tests and get the crash to reproduce. has been reported by a few different users and we will pursue the crash until we can get it fixed. Thank you all for your patience with us as we work to fix the problem :slight_smile:
