I am unable to cook after receiving files from Perforce source control from another user. I am able to build other and archived projects just fine using 4.6. We have only certain files being shared through source, no binaries, and no extra content folders that should not be shared. I am able to build, compile, and run the project but not cook. I do get an a few warnings and have the official logs standing by but I would like to see if we can troubleshoot through the warnings first: link text
Please note that the Engine is installed on one drive and the project is on another drive.
Having this same issue - did you ever find a solution?
Useless error messages like this are infuriating for such an overall well-made engine:
PackagingResults:Error: Error Launch failed! Unknown Cook Failure
I didn’t understand much of the log. I am getting this same warning though: LogStats:Warning: MetaData mismatch. Did you assign a stat to two groups?
As for the cook failure, if you have savegame instances in your blueprint …if you have worked in blueprint…try checking the “Save game” checkbox in details of that instance. I can cook now!
Not sure how this would work for C++.
Earlier in the log there should be a message stating where the cook log is (search for -run=cook in your log it should specify a log file).
If you could post that log file it should have more information.
