UE4.27 SwitchBoard doesn't show

I created an nDisplay demo project. When I hit the “SwitchBoard” button on the toolbar, a cmd window shows up and disappears instantly, and the switchboard window never showed up. I checked the log file, here’s the content:

In @dyzdyz010 case I see a
“LogRemoteControlWebInterface: Error: [Failure] Failed to Launch the Remote Control Web Interface - Couldn’t find node.js installed, Please install latest nodejs from Download | Node.js

So it seems he/she was not fully setup yet and missed the node.js step in the prerequisites.

This is what I get. I have just installed node.js again but still no luck

This isnt the log file for that launch as it isnt running the installs again but is just loading listener then attempting to load switchboard

I tried on my machine and when launching the Switchboard from UE I first get the install and then just after the switchboard window
any subsequent switchboard button press starts the switchboard window.

Frustratingly, mine just beach balls for a moment when pressed after the install then nothing opens. I have tried reinstalling the engine even hmmm

Could you try launching it manually from:

  1. In a Powershell window go to folder YOU_427_INSTALL\UE_4.27\Engine\Plugins\VirtualProduction\Switchboard\Source\Switchboard
  2. run YOU_427_INSTALL\Engine\Extras\ThirdPartyNotUE\SwitchboardThirdParty\Python\Scripts\python.exe -m switchboard

and see if you get any details from that
