(UE4.27) Poorly-explained "Assertion failed: ColorRT" crash keeps happening on packaged builds. Help?

Hello all. I’ve been working on UE4 for a few years now, but only came up against a crash+error message that has me completely stumped. Here is what I get, just before a total game crash.

Sometimes it happens when I do something that causes a Niagara effect. Sometimes it happens seemingly randomly. Whatever it is, I’ve found VERY little acknowledging its existence and no solid solution, including official Unreal documentation. Suggestions?

Hey, good news! I managed to solve this through some luck and repeated searches. If anyone comes across this, here’s my solution: I had a widget plug-in for masked blur materials that wasn’t the latest version. It somehow caused a retainer box error on packaged builds. Simply removing it solved it entirely for me. Good luck!
