UE4.26 - Emissive color doesn't shine anymore, why?

Hi, In UE4.24 to create a shiny material I just had to increase the “emissive color” intensity with a parameter to make it shine, now in UE4.26 I can’t:

UE4.26:

UE4.24:

Both are the exact same material, just changed the engine version, what can I do?

Did you turn off post process in the preview scene settings?

I didn’t change anything, just upgraded my project from UE4.24 to UE4.26.2:

I tested creating a brand new material in UE4.26.2, everything at default, still not working:

Figured it out…

I unchecked “Bloom” in the project settings… it looks like materials require bloom to shine in UE4.26, this is weird, I unchecked Bloom in the project settings a long time ago, maybe even UE4.19, because it was causing a white blur and artifacts around my characters as they run or move fast, now the grainy artifacts are back… no idea why materials need bloom to emit light in UE4.26.2… :frowning: I don’t want bloom

Is there a way to activate Bloom, only per material?

Ah, at least you got it. Sorry, I think bloom is a post process only thing, IE the whole scene.
