UE4.24: Material Editor: Copy/Paste deletes Connections

This happens now after swapping to 4.24.

I have dived deeper and now i can describe the bug more precisely.

If the Material Function has at least one input with a default value (greyed out), and you do the copy paste thing, it will delete all connections:

This is happening for me in 4.24.1 too.

coping one functions with inputs, pasting in another material, and all input connections are lost.
what is the workaround?
very annoying.

As @RaidFire.Net mentioned, it seems this only happens when any of the Function Inputs has Use Preview Value as Default set to true. This regression has been reported here and fixed, with the fix to be available in 4.24.2. I’m not aware of any workarounds for this at the moment.
