It looks like that error message is the localized text variable FailedBrowse found in Engine.int. As far as I can tell the only time it’s used is in UnGame.cpp line 397 in UGameEngine::Init(). It gets called when the game can’t find the startup map. What command are you using to start the game? Can you tell us what your Map variable is set to in YourGameEngine.ini?
I trying compile source code of UE3 which I found on Github.
It has already Sln proj file which is compatible with VS2008/2009.
So before build Engine I make some changes with
configuration type, but the problem is I can’t switch to the Win64 platform.
Anyway it generated Object file from source after build, I don’t know why but I selected as windows application (.exe)
So I repeat the build solution, and it failed because I missing libpng.lib.

I’m not sure why that might be happening. Is that GitHub repository public? Can you send me a link to it? Do you know who uploaded it?
Not exacly it’s user clone from UE3 - non commercial version from Epic Games repo before UE4 come out in 2014.

I’m not sure why that’s happening. I think it’s an issue with your project’s build properties. Epic gives pretty good instructions on how to set up your project in UE3 if you get the source code from them. I don’t know if this GitHub repo is authorized to redistribute the UE3 source code, even if only for noncommercial use. Why are you trying to use UE3? Why not use UDK or UE4?
I looking for source code to build it with umodel viewer source, because his tool support many games on Unreal Engine 3, expecially classes of package and specific engine version, license.
Umodel allow to view and export this cooked data so there’s a possiblity to load upk in editor from released games and edit some class, SkeletalMesh then use it to game.
So summaring I want modding a non-moddable games in other way and for now I trying to compile it without edit source, to check if this non-authorized solution is working.
