I updated my project from UE4.24 to 4.25… and it took 3 hours… now, converted to UE 4.25, lights and materials look horrible, intense, unrealistic and FrameRate dropped from 60FPS to 24FPS…
Why? i didn´t changed anything, did unreal add something i should turn off?
This happened once in the past, i think from 4.18 to 4.19… and i think the reason was a light issue that Epic solved for the next version, but at that moment i only had an FPS drop, lights were the same… now lights and materials look really bad and cheap. for now i´ll keep working with 4.24, because 4.25 is unusable… even viewport its slow.
I had same issues - looks horrible and real-time rendering looks glitchy and completely wrong. Wondering if I am missing a new setting that needs disabled?
Maybe they are implementing “Lumen” (UE5) and it ruinned the original light system, because even do, i do tried to fix it to work with UE4.25, i was not able to emulate the realistic look i had in UE4.24, it just looks fake, even if i try to make it work… or maybe that was the idea LOL, make Lights look terrible so “lumen” saves the world… ahaha
