I want to start as a seller on the marketplace and I want to sell post-process material. For the demo map, I was using meta-human characters and Megascans’ textures which are not allowed due to the license term of the marketplace which says that customers can use it on other engines too which I understand if the product is textures or 3d assets. but it’s not relevant when someone buys a post-process material or plugin that can only work on UE.
Now, I believe there should be an option to choose the license. if a seller wants to go with the unreal “Marketplaces general license” or if he wants to go with the “Unreal Engine Only License” which can allow the seller to keep Megascans and Metahuman in the demo map.
It will reduce a lot of headaches for sellers. Because it’s really hard to find good textures when I search for free textures. these are not as high quality as Megascans.
