UE keeps crashing at game launch

Greetings. I’ve been playing a game called VR Paradise almost flawlessly for months now and starting the other day UE just crashes at every game launch now with my HP G2V2, but, it plays fine with my Vive. Only difference being WMR I would assume. Can anyone shed any light on this perhaps. Thank you.

Greetings @Xwhyz1959

Welcome to the Unreal Engine Forums! We generally have limited support with published games(Assuming that is what we’re looking at here). But, I am familiar with the error you posted in the screenshot. Can you provide a screenshot for the full error? There will be some letters/numbers after the ‘EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION’ that can help determine the issue. Also, have you made any hardware changes or updated anything between the time it worked and the time it started the crashes? (Also, if you’re able to run the game in Dx11 instead of Dx12, I’d try that first) Thanks.

Greetings to you my friend, I hope today finds you well. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me. I consider myself relatively intelligent, but certain areas just aren’t my strong point shall we say. That’s when I refer to the experts, (you), and again, thank you.
This game is called VR Paradise, made by Totem Entertainment. It went from playing almost flawlessly, to unplayable right in the middle of a game. This is with my HP G2V2. Now remember that my Vive Pro2 opens and plays the game fine, that’s why I have to wonder if it is WMR related. I tried the Dx11 change and it had no affect. Also, bear in mind that this condition also affected my backup PC, which is the same machine I created most of my YouTube videos with, which is just one more aspect of this anomaly that has me scratching my head. No unknown updates that I am aware of, and I keep my video drivers updated as needed,

Here is a link to my YT channel if you want to see what this “game” is about, and I use the term game reluctantly. It’s more of a experience. Thank you again my friend, whether or not we can correct this is to be seen, but I will keep my fingers crossed. Have a safe day.
