UE install target platforms - I'm new

I’m brand new and learning UE for filmmaking purposes.

When I go to options to install, I see “Target Platforms” options. Do I need any of them checked? Or are those just for gaming?

When you package your game, you need to have at least one of these enabled. All this list does it give you options in the ‘package for’ menu:

I have the same question. Under ‘Installation Options’ for each Engine version, there are options for "Target Platforms’. Can these be unchecked to save space if I’m not planning to create games at all?
