UE ignores Player Start

My player character is suddenly spawning way outside my world. It’s roughly in the position the camera flies to when pressing ‘2’. UE is ignoring the Player Start actor and the current position of my player character.
When I hit Play the camera is just stuck in space and since I’ve just migrated from Unity, I’ve really got no idea what’s going on.
I also tried Select All and moving everything to world zero but it didn’t budge.
So far the web is pretty quiet on this issue. So perhaps it’s just me.

It would also help to know how to turn off height-death.
