UE Content from Vault / Library in UEFN

Over the years I have accumulated a lot of content from the marketplace free for the month etc and it is showing and available in my Fab library.

As it is not all UEFN ready I have created a UE 5.4 file and have migrated assets across to a UEFN project, but when I launch a session for the first time it makes the assets private.

Does this mean I won’t be able to publish with these assets? and more broadly is it allowable to use assets previously in my vault / library in a UEFN project if the asset is migrated from UE5, rather than FAB?

Any Epic guys who could confirm would be great as also I wanted to buy some other assets that are currently only UE compatible on FAB and if it is not possible I will need to find another resource.

Thx

Hi Njay,

What do you mean by ‘makes the assets private’?

The only thing I can think of that might be related is Unreal Revision Control putting the assets in a ‘Read only’ (Checked in) state…

I believe they’re reffering to this. I had a similar screen about assets becoming private after migrating from UE to UEFN I don’t quite understand the meaning of private but it didn’t affect publishing in my case

Thx for the reply, I was hoping that would be the case and maybe as it is an asset in my library, it means I can use it, but if I am working with a team maybe its private so that they can not go on and use it.

A guess, but at least if you have published with private assets it gives me hope. lol

Don’t want to violate any copyright primarily so would be good if it was clearer.

Again thx for the reply.

Thx for reply.

I only saw the message pop up then disappear, so sorry vague description. Think it is making private to me for my use, not any team I work with to use on future projects.

Dunno, but maybe best guess for now.
