The issue text is still accurate. Crash upon placing a Point light in scene. Same workaround applies – set Editor Shadow Scalability Settings to Low.
Yep, I get the same issue. Was wondering why our project was crashing, until I narrowed down the issue to r.SupportPointLightWholeSceneShadows being False. Would love to get this regression fixed.
It looks like the fix for UE-62132 hasn’t been merged into the 4.21 branch for release. Have left a comment in git to get eyes on it.
Have also confirmed that the code fix for 4.20 works for 4.21 in a custom engine build.
