As stated in the title, in UE5 every single time I try to play my imported image sequence (png, jpeg, exr, etc) it freezes and never recovers. I have to Control - ALT-Delete my way out. Same thing when I create a texture sample and assign the material.
So, I re-installed version 4-27.2 and it worked fine. BUT, now when I import a megascan asset its grayed out with no textures and then I try to assign one and it crashes. I have watched countless tutorials, read dozens of articles, tried so many things with no success. It could be somwthing sill that im just not seeing, a setting? Im lost.
Ive uninstalled, reinstalled those two versions and Quixel Bridge twice now and no luck. Any amd all help would be so appreciated! Thank you in advance.
Thanks for responding and for the recommendation! I tried it and its still freezes up. Could it be a plugin thats not enabled that im not aware of, or a setting?
Also, what about in version 4.27 where the textures are not loading with the 3d assets?
I dont mind using either version, if these two things would work! Haha
It could be that you’re running out of RAM or GPU memory, UE5 is definitely going to be hard on a system, Unreal Engine is doing a lot more real-time stuff than what those others are doing.
So, I’ve pretty much given up on finding a solution for UE5 freezing when trying to open the media player, or assigning my video as a texture sample.
UE 4.27 wouldnt load my assets properly either, but would play the videos fine.
Now, I’m using UE 4.6 and it imports/plays the videos fine. But when I import 3d assets, some look fine and others look terrible. I’ll attach a screenshot or two. I’ve tried different settings, watched other tutorials and nothing seems to work. Stressing me out. What is happening? Haha
